Flax paper, basswood, bullrush, phragmites, sawgrass, maple leaves, arrow wood, sand, graphite. The paper was formed from flax grown, harvested and processed by the artist. Western, Chinese pour-forming and laminate casting techniques were used to form the sheets. Leaves and other fibers were cooked in soda ash and washed before being embedded during sheet formation. The paper was dried, stretched on the felts on which it was formed using oak frames designed specifically for this purpose.
