Tyvek, wood, horsehair, plastic, paint, metal. From the artist: "Each of the heads, representing the audience for art, can be lowered individually into a position where it is now looking at the artwork behind. Lowering it opens the hinged space at the base of each head, where fragments of drawings transferred from Victorian stencils are seen, white on black. The drawn fragments showing familiar subjects, suggest the enormous range of ways that different individuals regard/see/interpret the same subject. The audience is reminded that they complete the cycle of art-making in individual ways."
