Chimney heights will vary with burners used and location. This particular chimney is now 12 block high. At this point in construction the kiln is left to dry. The minimum drying period is 5 days; to insure better dryness the kiln should be left for a couple of weeks.
The original object was scanned as a TIFF file on a Nikon Coolscan 4000 film scanner at approximately 4000 pixels on the long dimension. A 300 ppi JPEG file limited to 1024 pixels on the long dimension was then added to the CONTENTdm database.
