This event was held at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, in Pacific Grove, California June 12 through 14, 1957. A vision of American Craftsmen's Council's (ACC) founder, Mrs. Aileen Osborn Webb, and convened by the ACC, the conference, dubbed, Asilomar, brought together 450 participants from 30 states.
