The "Amusements" exhibition was shown at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts from November 20, 1964 to January 17, 1965. A benefit party for the Museum was held in December. "Amusements" represented the work of 77 artists ranging in age from 4 to 54. The work illustrated the potential range of amusing experiences by reflection of an amusing incident or that motivates laughter through their composition, self-activation, or interactive elements. The exhibit was attended by 1800 children in school groups who were given conducted tours of the gallery by members of the museum staff.
