The "22nd Ceramic National" was a survey of contemporary ceramics of the United States and Canada. The competition was open to potters, sculptors, enamelists, and glass craftsmen. The entries were first screened at regional centers around the country before shipping to Syracuse for the awarding of prizes. The exhibit first opened at the Everson Museum of Art at Syracuse, New York, where it was on display November 4 until December 30, 1962. The show then went on tour for a 2-year circuit to museums amd galleries around the country. The "22nd Ceramic National" was on display at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City from January 26 until March 10, 1963.
