A jury of craftsmen chosen by participants selected work from selling displays to form the "Court of Honor" exhibit highlighting outstanding work from the region. Selection and judging occurred August 24th and 25th prior to the first day of the Craft Fair. The first annual ACC Northeast Regional craft fair and conference held from August 26-29, 1966 in Stowe, VT. Marking a first in Council history, the event, titled "Confrontation" was attended by more than 175 craftsmen, 80 of whom arranged their sales displays in the Ski House at the foot of Mt. Mansfield. Selling space was open to Council craftsmen/sustaining members only, with priority given to the Northeast Region. Craftsmen in each medium elected jurors for open judging and for the selection of a Court of Honor.
