On June 10, 1975 during the 32nd annual meeting of the American Crafts Council, seventeen persons long associated with the crafts were inducted into the Council's College of Fellows. Mrs. Vanderbilt Webb, Chairman of the Board, presided at the New York Meeting held in the Museum of Contemporary Crafts while Donald Wyckoff, ACC's President, led a similar meeting by telecommunications in San Francisco. Honored fellows include: Lili Blumenau, author and textile consultant to Craft Horizons; Florence Eastmead whose career with America House spanned twenty-seven years; Trude Guermonprez, former ACC trustee, weaver and chairman of the Craft Department, College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland; Ada Husted Anderson, Jeweler and consultant to Craft Horizons; Harvey Littleton, former ACC trustee, glassblower and professor at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; Mary Lyon, first professional editor of Craft Horizons; Sam Maloof, woodworker and former ACC trustee; Dorothy Meredith, weaver and former ACC trustee; Francis Merritt, director of the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts; Margaret Patch, honorary vice-chairman of the World Crafts Council; Maurine Roverts, co-founder of the Oregon Ceramic Studio in Portland now known as the Contemporary Crafts Association; Ed Rossbach, weaver, teacher and author; Rudolf Schaeffer, founder of the Schaeffer School in San Francisco; Toshiko Takaezu, ceramist and teacher; Lenore Tawney, weaver; Peter Voulkos, ceramist and sculptor; Frans Wildenhain, ceramist and former faculty member of the School for American Craftsmen.
