Sound installation by Irv Teibel that includes recordings of the ocean, computer synthesized bells, the dawn at New Hope, and the dusk at New Hope. Installation includes a platform with a mattress covered by a black sheet for the viewer to lay on and light coming from above. Image produced in association with the exhibition "Contemplation Environments", on view from January 16 through March 18, 1970 at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City. The exhibition was developed from artists' submissions for personal meditative spaces. Architect Gamal El Zoghby organized the sixteen selected concepts into an integrated plan covering the gallery areas where viewers were allowed to experience each work.
